About Us

Justin is the CTO of Vera, and is interested in research in computer vision, computational photography, machine learning and machine learning engineering. He’s a recipient of the Marcus Foster Fellowship. His last role in industry was VP, Data Science, Analytics and Data Products at Yelp. Previously, he was the Director of Research and Data Science at Cloudera Fast Forward Labs, Head of Applied Machine Learning at Fitbit, the Global Head of Cisco’s Enterprise Data Science Office and a Big Data Systems Engineer with Booz Allen Hamilton. In another life, he served as a Marine Corps Officer, with a focus in Systems Analytics and Intelligence.

Liz is the CEO of Vera, and has spent her career of more than 10 years on the business side of enterprise AI startups. Previously, Liz was a cofounder of model monitoring startup Arthur AI, and the first Technology Director of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, a NYC litigation nonprofit focused on civil liberties protections. In 2022, Liz was appointed to the National AI Advisory Committee (NAIAC) through the Department of Commerce, and facilitated by The National Institute of Science and Technology.

Ayodele Odubela is a Data Scientist who combines her background in comms and passion for data justice to operationalize responsible AI. She earned her Master’s degree in Data Science from Regis University and has led ethical AI workshops at Microsoft and Priceline. She’s delivered RAI Keynotes at PyData, the Women in Analytics Summit and has been recognized as one of 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics. She is passionate about building tech to improve the lives of marginalized people.

RJ is a Platform Engineer who has been fortunate enough to spend his whole career in the Machine Learning space, mostly at start ups. His passion for building software has taken many shapes over this time, from being a Consultant, ML Engineer, Data Engineer, and even dipping his toes into some Data Science work. However his current focus is building robust, scalable, and modern infrastructure. When he is not staring at code, you can find him rock climbing, backpacking, relaxing at the river or working on one of the endless number of home improvement projects.

Andrew is passionate about learning new skills and best practices to enhance the quality, speed, and collaboration of data development. His goal is to empower the team and the organization with reliable, scalable, and accessible data solutions that support data-driven decision making and innovation.

Allan is a Front-End Engineer who has a passion for transforming innovative ideas into visually stunning and user-friendly experiences. His background spans from early-stage start ups to big tech and he has an unwavering commitment to growth and excellence. Currently, he is the creative force behind our startup's digital presence and is also finishing up his Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Georgia Tech.
